A rare pressed and embellished fragment formed from sacred dust collected from the interior of the Holy Ka‘bah. Such relics were traditionally prepared during the Ottoman custodianship of the Haramayn al-Sharifayn, reflecting the empire’s profound reverence for the holy sanctuaries. Dust gathered during the periodic cleaning of the Ka‘bah was carefully preserved as a symbol of blessing (barakah) and devotion.

Comparable examples are recorded in the Al Khalili Collections (associated with institutions in London and New York).
