An original and authentic pure silk internal kiswa fragment. Made by the kiswa factory and worn inside the kabah.
The double frame: consists of two pieces. The fragment to the right is the embroidered kiswa, the outer layer that can be seen upon entering the Kabah. The fragment to the left is the lining i.e. the backing fabric to prevent the kiswa from being damaged by the wall. Both fabrics are made using the jacquard weaving method and are both from pure silk.
Embroidered kiswa only: measures 10 x 9cm. Made from pure white and green silk threads.
Kiswa lining only measures 10 x 10cm. Made from pure green silk threads.
Our Kiswa is sourced from trustworthy, reputable and well-established antique dealers in Saudi Arabia. Each kiswa piece that arrives is reviewed and checked for it's condition, weaving style and thread count to ensure what we offer is the genuine article. The kiswa is then presented to a Museum in Makkah for further review and authentication. Once approved the kiswa is then certified and shipped over to us in the UK. Once it is received, we cut it by hand and offer it to our customers in an elegant gold frame.
Please be aware that there are many kiswa pieces available online. Many are being sold as originals but in fact are copies/ models. The easiest way to identify a replica is to check the kiswa is made from silk. All current period kiswa as well as kiswa dating back to several centuries before were mostly made from silk. See our YouTube account for more information on this topic.
Please be aware of 'fake' certificates being produced. We strongly advise to check the item itself rather than relying on a document to prove its authenticity. An original product will always speak for itself.
