An original Ottoman era kiswa used in the blessed chamber of our beloved Prophet Muhammed (SAW) and his companions (May Allah be pleased with them). It has precisely been cut by ourselves and professionally framed.

Similar pieces of the same style are held in museums. This particular inscription style dates back to the 16th century and has slightly changed over time in design and colour. This piece is believed to have been used in the 18-19thth century and the same design and weaving pattern has been sold by leading auction houses such as Bonhams and Christies.

Some fragments of the kiswa may be very fine in condition due to be being layered or used in areas which have less exposure to light and dust. On the other hand, some pieces are heavily worn and in some cases torn and marked due to light exposure or hanging towards the bottom within easy reach of pilgrims. Please refer to images for condition.
